"If you or I want to make a change in this world, we must begin from home. If not us, who? If not now, when?"
Her Highness, Queen Zaynab was at the Internally Displaced Peoples Camp in Abuja where thousands of people fleeing conflict and poverty in Nigeria due to Boko Haram reside. More than 14,000 families are living in Abuja's IDP camps and over 1 million people are displaced across Nigeria due to extremists.
"Change begins from home."
This is a call to each and every single Nigerian to do what we can, wherever we are, to help our brothers and sisters, our children in dire need. This is not just a national problem, this is a global crisis. We cannot improve this situation by partial responses and relaxed methodologies. It's time for us to come together as a community and as a nation to face the complexities of this matter.
Happy #EidMubarak to everyone. May you all have a very happy and blessed holiday and may we remember to offer helping hands to assist those who need our help.
